For my 27th birthday I wanted nothing more than to spend some quality time with me, myself, and I. So, I hopped on a plane, rented a car, and drove through Colorado. I gifted myself fresh Rocky Mountain air, meditation in the Garden of the Gods, and breakfast for dinner every night. And, friends, it was pure bliss. When I told people I was going to go on a solo trip I mostly got "Why would you do that?" and "Aren't you afraid to travel alone as a woman?". I think that it's really important for women to travel solo. They can and they should. I get it, the world can be a scary place but with the right planning and natural instincts, traveling solo can be so rewarding. I'm really looking forward to making a personal tradition of taking at least 1 solo trip every year.
